South Africa, from Johannesburg to the border with Zimbabwe.
The “Union Limited Zambezi” train headed north from Johannesburg to Zimbabwe by a scenic route via Magaliesburg. This was a journey over three days using a variety of steam locomotives which had been prepared by the Transnet Museum.

2-of-18) Class 15E 4-8-2 no. 2878 (built by Henschel in 1937) ready to take the "Union Limited Zambezi" tour train from Johannesburg station, 26th July 1992. Over several days, using other locomotives and visiting various places, the train will end up at Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, on the Zambezi River.
